Test Tubes and Dilution Tubes

ACILA® offers a range of endotoxin-free test tubes and dilution tubes made from high-quality soda lime glass and borosilicate glass. The tubes are available in various sizes, either with a screw thread and matching closure or with a smooth rim.

Our PYROKONTROL® test tubes and dilution tubes are endotoxin-free and packaged under aseptic conditions. They are ideal for sample preparation, dilution steps, and the safe handling of sensitive reagents in the context of bacterial endotoxins testing (BET), including kinetic turbidimetric LAL assays, gel clot LAL tests, and rFC assays.

PYROKONTROL® Test Tubes from soda lime glass are free of endotoxin and especially suitable for gel-clot LAL Test.

PYROKONTROL® dilution tubes from borosilicate glass are used for sample preparation for Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET), such as Limulus Amebocyte Lysat Test (LAL Test) or recombinant Factor C Test (rFC-Test). The tubes are free of detectable endotoxin (endotoxin level < 0.002 I.U./tube). Inhibition and enhancement of the endotoxin test can be excluded. Endotoxin recovery is ± 50 %. They may be re-used after depyrogenation.

Water, Buffer and Solutions

ACILA® LRW (LAL Reagent Water) is water in accordance with Ph. Eur. and USP, specifically designed for use in all methods of the bacterial endotoxins test, including gel clot, turbidimetric, and chromogenic assays. It meets the highest quality standards for endotoxin testing and is suitable for the preparation of reagents, standards, and sample dilutions, as well as for rinsing endotoxin-sensitive equipment.

Our LAL Reagent Water is available in both glass and plastic bottles, offering flexibility for a wide range of laboratory workflows. Each batch is manufactured under strictly controlled conditions and undergoes comprehensive quality control to ensure consistent, reliable, and reproducible results.

  • Particle count ≤ 10% of USP and EP specification for WFI;

TrisSol® Tris Buffer

TrisSol® Tris buffer are free of detectable endotoxin and sterile. It‘s pH is 7.4 at 37°C.

Endotoxins (LPS)

ACILA® offers endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides or LPSs) for various applications, including Limulus Amebocyte Lysate Tests (LAL Test) and Pyrogen Tests. They can also be used as bioindicators for the validation of depyrogenation processes or ultrafiltration. The endotoxins are from different species of bacteria and therefore contain different amounts of lipid A, which means that their activity also varies. Our endotoxins are highly purified and do not contain any fillers, opposite to most endotoxin preparations.
Reference Standard Endotoxin (RSE)

ACILA® offers Reference Standard Endotoxins of USP and EP.

The Pharmacopoeias (Europe, USA, Japan), the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) differentiate between Reference Standard Endotoxin (RSE) and Control Standard Endotoxin (CSE). Due to the harmonization of Limulus Amebocyte Lysate Test (LAL Test) in the three pharmacopoeias, there are only activity-identical endotoxin units since 1997:

These Reference Standard Endotoxins are, however, still found with different product names and with different units depending on their origin. The International Standard of the WHO and the EC-6 of the FDA are available only for certain reference laboratories or producers of Limulus lysate, while the Reference Standard Endotoxins of USP and EP can be purchased from ACILA.

PYROCERT® Endotoxins as Bioindicators

Highly purified Endotoxins without fillers. Suitable for the validation of depyrogenation processes or ultrafiltration.

PYROCERT® Endotoxins as bioindicators are mainly used for validation of depyrogenation processes or ultrafiltration. The endotoxins listed below are produced without additives to increase their heat resistance. The lyophilized vials may seem to be empty due to their low contents of LPS. On the other side, many endotoxin preparations of other manufacturer contain fillers (e.g. lactose) to increase their solubility. In this case, the endotoxin vials look well filled, like those of the official RSEs. The LPS of Salmonella abortus equi is available as sterile aqueous solution.
